Aromatherapy for Healing Arts Practitioners

The live series of courses offers sequential levels of training and is designed for massage therapists, nurses and other healing arts practitioners who wish to integrate aromatherapy into their professional practice. It is assumed that students enrolling in these courses have a foundation in basic anatomy and physiology.
The Aromatherapy School offers three levels of classes (I, II & III)
- Classes are sequential, i.e., you must take Level I before Level II, etc.
- Each class is offered at least once per year (several times most years).
- All classes are taught by Dr. Joie Power, director of The Aromatherapy School.
- Each level is presented as a two-day weekend workshop.
- Classes are offered at or near Dr. Power’s home near Highlands, North Carolina.
- Students are presented with a Certificate of Completion for attending both days of the workshop.
- Students may choose to take exam at end of workshop. Students who pass are given a Certificate of Achievement.
- Classes are geared toward Healing Arts Practitioners (Nurses, Massage Therapists, MDs, etc.)
- All students are expected to have a solid understanding of physiology and anatomy.
- Levels I & II are open to non-practitioners (must have working knowledge of physiology and anatomy).
- Students completing all Levels will receive a Certificate in Clinical Aromatherapy.
- Optionally, students can choose to take the online/correspondence courses.
- Students may mix and match between live and online/correspondence courses.

Aromatherapy Certificate
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to all who attend both days of a workshop (one certificate per level).
A Certificate of Achievement will be issued to all who attend both days of a workshop and pass a written exam at the end of day two (one certificate per level).
Licensed health care professionals who have received Certificates of Achievement for all three levels will be given a Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy.

Massage Therapy CEs
Dr. Joie Power is approved by: The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. 15 CEs per Level (I, II & III)
Registered Aromatherapist CEUs
CEUs (15) available to RAs (Registered Aromatherapists) for ARC (Aromatherapy Registration Council).
Aromatherapy Workshop Prerequisites
Level I
Prerequisites: Open mind, willingness to learn and having used essential oils or essential oil blends in the past and basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Designed for: Herbalists, massage therapists, nurses, other healthcare practitioners as well as all who have a real interest in learning the science and art of aromatherapy.
Level II
Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of The Aromatherapy School Level I workshop.
Designed for: Herbalists, massage therapists, nurses, other healthcare practitioners as well as all who have a real interest in learning the science and art of aromatherapy.
Level III
Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of The Aromatherapy School Levels I & II workshops.
Designed for: Herbalists, massage therapists, nurses, other healthcare practitioners as well as all who have a real interest in learning the science and art of aromatherapy.

Registrants and Subscribers are required to give us contact information (e.g., your name and email address). Certain information, such as your email address, is collected in order to verify your identity and for our records. Information collected at this website is kept in our records only as long as is necessary to provide requested services to our clients.
Cancellations / Refunds
Cancellations / Refunds: If you change your mind within 3 days after registering for a class, a full refund will be made as long as class is one full week away at time of registration. Otherwise 75% refunds will be made for cancellations made 30+ days prior to workshop, 50% refunds for cancellations made 20 to 30 days prior, 0% refunds for cancellations less than 20 days prior to workshop.
Class Swap: With approval and availability in future class for a fee of $100.00.
Class Cancellation: We will make every effort to present all workshops and classes as scheduled but, as you know, unforeseen events can arise. In unlikely event that Dr. Power cannot present a class, class will be cancelled and rescheduled at time that will work for Dr. Power and majority of enrollees. If registrants choose to not attend rescheduled class, full refund of class/workshop fee will be made. Neither Dr. Power, The Aromatherapy School, EcomGreen LLC, or any other party is responsible for refunds of any other funds (hotel registrations, travel fees, etc.) other than the tuition for the class/workshop.
As an alternative to cancellation and/or refund, class registration is fully transferable to another party prior to the course with approval of individual to attend by Dr. Power.
